SUMMARY:200-Hour Teacher Training\, Module 1: Yoga Immersion Program
DESCRIPTION:For over 40 years\, Integral Yoga’s internationally respected training program has been continually developed and refined to meet the personal and professional Yogic needs of our participants. We provide a wide reaching foundation preparing trainees to develop their knowledge and personal practice of Yoga\, and the essential skills for teaching Yoga. Graduates receive both a practical and a philosophical understanding of the full scope of Yoga teachings and practices. \nModule 1: Yoga Immersion Program\n“Yoga” means “union” in the ancient Sanskrit language. It is a perfect description of the Integral Yoga system which synthesizes the various branches of Yoga into a comprehensive lifestyle system. The aim is to promote the harmonious development of every aspect of the individual. The results are subtle\, profound\, and measurable. \nThe six branches of Integral Yoga are powerful tools to encourage wellness and self-mastery. \nTrainees will refine and deepen their personal practices based on an exploration of:\n\nHatha Yoga (physical postures)\nRaja Yoga (psychology of mind)\nKarma Yoga (selfless service)\nBhakti Yoga (devotion)\nJñana Yoga (self-analysis)\nJapa Yoga (mantra repetition)\n\nModule 1 encourages you to deepen your own practice through the study of Yoga as a complete lifestyle science. You will be immersed in an experience of living Yoga for personal and spiritual development. The curriculum includes asana and basic anatomy\, pranayama\, meditation\, philosophy and study of sacred texts\, and other traditional Yogic practices. \nUpon graduation from Module 1\, you will discover your personal practice has become firmly established and well grounded\, and you will have the option to pursue 200-hour teacher certification by continuing your studies with Module 2: Yoga Teaching Essentials. \nSchedule\nJanuary 21 – February 28\, 2026 \n\nWednesdays: 6:30pm-8:00pm • All Online\nSaturdays: 9:30am-4:00pm • All Online\nSundays: 10:00am-4:00pm • Hybrid Online & In-Person\n\nAll times given in Eastern Time US\, please check your time zone. \nThis is a hybrid training offering options for both online and in-person classes. Participants may select to complete the entire training online\, or as a combination of online and in-person experience. Live attendance\, whether online or in person\, is required for the full class schedule (as listed above) for successful completion and 200-hour teacher certification. \nEnrollment in this course includes free access to online and in-person classes through Integral Yoga Institute\, NY. Access to class recordings and online study materials will be available for you during the training and for 12 months after graduation. \nAdmissions deadline is January 9. Applications received after the deadline will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Admission for late applicants is not guaranteed. \nTuition\n$1250 Regular Tuition\, paid in full by January 12\nor\n$1275 Payment Plan\, $275 deposit by January 12 \n$200 Early Bird Discount\, pay in full or begin payment plan by December 21 \nTuition includes a $275 non-refundable administrative fee to reserve your space in the training\, textbooks and course materials\, as well as free hatha classes which may begin 30 days before the training.  Access to class recordings and online study materials will be available for you during the training and for 12 months after graduation. Trainees also receive a 10% discount on any IYINY shop purchases while enrolled in the course. \nTuition must be paid in full before the training begins\, or you must be actively enrolled in the payment plan.  The payment plan includes a deposit due before the training begins\, and subsequent installments will be due over the course of the training\, with the balance completed before graduation. \nPartial scholarships for financial aid are available when possible. BIPOC and LGBTQ+ applicants are encouraged to inquire about scholarship opportunities. For more information on payment plans and scholarships\, please contact TeacherTraining@iyiny.org. \nAuditing\nTeachers who are already certified through Integral Yoga may participate in this program at a discounted rate of $525. Auditors are not required to attend all sessions and will not be evaluated on assignments.  If you are interested in auditing this course\, please email TeacherTraining@iyiny.org with a copy of your 200-Hour Integral Yoga certificate. \nRequirements for Admission\nApplicants must be committed to developing their Yoga practice through the various facets presented in this course\, which will require regular attendance\, active participation\, and home study. Applicants of all skill levels are welcome\, comfort with practicing Integral Yoga Hatha Level I is advised. If you are unfamiliar with the Integral Yoga Style\, we kindly request that you attend at least 3 of our Hatha classes (online or in-person) before committing to this program. \nPlease be advised that a significant portion of the training is delivered in an online format.  Participants must have regular access to the internet and a computer or other device that supports audio/video functions and is able to run Zoom. An active personal email account is required to receive course materials and communications. \nUpon receiving your application\, the instructors will review your information and will contact you to arrange a personal interview. The interview is the final step in the application process and is required for admission to the program. \n200-Hour Certification\nIntegral Yoga Institute offers a comprehensive Teacher Training program consisting of more than 200 class hours\, delivered in two Modules. Upon successful completion of both Modules 1 and 2\, you will receive a 200-hour teaching certificate for Integral Yoga Hatha Level I. Teacher certification requires trainees to successfully complete both Modules 1 and 2\, and to qualify by passing a series of thorough tests\, including written exams and monitored teaching. \nIntegral 300-Hour Advanced Teaching Certification\nAfter completing this course\, you will be eligible to continue your studies with a 300-hour Advanced Teaching Certification. The 200-hour + 300-hour certifications confer 500 total hours of training.

SUMMARY:The Art of Offering Hands-On Assists: Continuing Education Workshop for IYI Teachers
DESCRIPTION:**This workshop is for certified IYI Teachers only** \nIntegral Yoga encourages practitioners to guide their awareness within\, yet reaching that level of depth in hatha practice requires establishing a balance of sthira and sukha that sometimes remains elusive in challenging poses. There may be times when verbal cues and visual demonstration fall short of conveying the information we are asking our students to assimilate into their practice. Here is where gentle and well-informed hands-on assistance can support our students in refining their alignment\, leading to an experience of steadiness and ease that will transform their practice. \nThe art and skill of providing physical touch adjustments and hands-on assistance are tools that belong in every well-trained yoga teacher’s repertoire. Over the past few years\, with the shift towards online classes and trainings\, this invaluable knowledge may seem to have fallen by the wayside. If you are teaching without the resources to physically assist your students\, you probably have a sense that a vital element is missing. This workshop will help fill in that gap\, giving you the understanding and technical skills to safely and effectively incorporate hands-on support in your classes. \nAssists empower your students by guiding them to discover new possibilities\, encouraging them to move beyond self-imposed limitations\, and ultimately learning the skills needed to continue evolving on their own. Applied correctly\, physical touch adds another dimension to the class\, creating a nurturing environment that builds trust and connection between teacher and student. As teachers\, it is essential that we understand the power inherent in offering physical adjustments\, and develop the confidence and knowledge to appropriately integrate this skill into our teaching toolkit. \nThis is an in-person program. Registration is free for Active IYI Teachers\, $54 for Inactive Teachers.

DESCRIPTION:**This workshop is for certified Integral Yoga Teachers only**\nMenopause is one point in a continuum of life stages for women and most women experience this transition between the ages of 45-55 as a natural part of ageing. Given that in 2022 the global percentage of all adults who practised yoga was 16.9%\, with women more than twice as likely as men to practise\, these women are in your classes! \nTwo key physiological insights (relevant to your teaching) now known about this population of women are the changes that occur with lowering oestrogen levels on vascular (arterial) stiffness and on the thickness of fascia. \nHow are you addressing or considering their specific needs in your teaching? \nJoin this session to learn more about this latest research and how to consider these students in your classes/Studio. \nPlease note – As a Yoga Therapist my therapeutic approach encompasses the ‘whole’ person not their condition(s) or label. Therefore this session is not a prescription of techniques\, practices\, poses. It offers a deeper understanding of some physiological changes that occur for most (but not all) women at this stage of life. From this knowledge we can more effectively meet women at this life stage and offer more tailored practices whilst wholistically supporting them through all aspects of their being.

SUMMARY:200-Hour Teacher Training\, Module 1: Yoga Immersion Program
DESCRIPTION:For over 40 years\, Integral Yoga’s internationally respected training program has been continually developed and refined to meet the personal and professional Yogic needs of our participants. We provide a wide reaching foundation preparing trainees to develop their knowledge and personal practice of Yoga\, and the essential skills for teaching Yoga. Graduates receive both a practical and a philosophical understanding of the full scope of Yoga teachings and practices. \nModule 1: Yoga Immersion Program\n“Yoga” means “union” in the ancient Sanskrit language. It is a perfect description of the Integral Yoga system which synthesizes the various branches of Yoga into a comprehensive lifestyle system. The aim is to promote the harmonious development of every aspect of the individual. The results are subtle\, profound\, and measurable. \nThe six branches of Integral Yoga are powerful tools to encourage wellness and self-mastery. \nTrainees will refine and deepen their personal practices based on an exploration of:\n\nHatha Yoga (physical postures)\nRaja Yoga (psychology of mind)\nKarma Yoga (selfless service)\nBhakti Yoga (devotion)\nJñana Yoga (self-analysis)\nJapa Yoga (mantra repetition)\n\nModule 1 encourages you to deepen your own practice through the study of Yoga as a complete lifestyle science. You will be immersed in an experience of living Yoga for personal and spiritual development. The curriculum includes asana and basic anatomy\, pranayama\, meditation\, philosophy and study of sacred texts\, and other traditional Yogic practices. \nUpon graduation from Module 1\, you will discover your personal practice has become firmly established and well grounded\, and you will have the option to pursue 200-hour teacher certification by continuing your studies with Module 2: Yoga Teaching Essentials. \nSchedule\nFebruary 19 – March 28\, 2025 \n• Wednesdays: 9:30am-1:00pm • All Online\n• Fridays: 9:30am-1:00pm • All Online\n• Sundays: 10:00am-3:15pm • Hybrid Online & In-Person \nAll times given in Eastern Time US\, please check your time zone. \nThis is a hybrid training offering options for both online and in-person classes. Participants may select to complete the entire training online\, or as a combination of online and in-person experience. All classes\, both online and in-person\, require live attendance for successful completion of Module 1 and for participants to be eligible to continue with Module 2 for the 200-hour teacher certification. \nEnrollment in this course includes free access to online and in-person classes through Integral Yoga Institute\, NY. Access to class recordings and online study materials will be available for you during the training and for 12 months after graduation. \nAdmissions deadline is February 12. Applications received after the deadline will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Admission for late applicants is not guaranteed. \nTuition\n\n$1050 Early Bird Discount\, paid in full by January 19\n$1250 Regular Tuition\, paid in full by February 12\n$1275 Payment Plan\, $275 deposit by February 12\n\nTuition includes a $275 non-refundable administrative fee to reserve your space in the training\, textbooks and course materials\, as well as free hatha classes which may begin 30 days before the training.  Access to class recordings and online study materials will be available for you during the training and for 12 months after graduation. Trainees also receive a 10% discount on any IYINY shop purchases while enrolled in the course. \nTuition must be paid in full before the training begins\, or you must be actively enrolled in the payment plan.  The payment plan includes a deposit due before the training begins\, and subsequent installments will be due over the course of the training\, with the balance completed before graduation. \nPartial scholarships are available when possible. Auditors are not required to attend all sessions and will not be evaluated on assignments.  If you are interested in auditing this course\, please email TeacherTraining@iyiny.org with a copy of your 200-Hour Integral Yoga certificate. \nRequirements for Admission\nApplicants must be committed to developing their Yoga practice through the various facets presented in this course\, which will require regular attendance\, active participation\, and home study. Applicants of all skill levels are welcome\, comfort with practicing Integral Yoga Hatha Level I is advised. If you are unfamiliar with the Integral Yoga Style\, we kindly request that you attend at least 3 of our Hatha classes (online or in-person) before committing to this program. \nPlease be advised that a significant portion of the training is delivered in an online format.  Participants must have regular access to the internet and a computer or other device that supports audio/video functions and is able to run Zoom. An active personal email account is required to receive course materials and communications. \nUpon receiving your application\, the instructors will review your information and will contact you to arrange a personal interview. The interview is the final step in the application process and is required for admission to the program. \n200-Hour Certification and Yoga Alliance Affiliation\nIntegral Yoga Institute offers a comprehensive Yoga Alliance-registered Teacher Training program consisting of more than 200 class hours\, delivered in two Modules. Upon successful completion of both Modules 1 and 2\, you will receive a 200-hour teaching certificate recognized by Yoga Alliance. Teacher certification requires trainees to successfully complete both Modules 1 and 2\, and to qualify by passing a series of thorough tests\, including written exams and monitored teaching. \nIntegral 300-Hour Advanced Teaching Certification\nAfter completing this course\, you will be eligible to continue your studies with a 300-hour Advanced Teaching Certification. Combine 200-hour + 300-hour certifications to become eligible for the Yoga Alliance RYT 500.
