SUMMARY:The Bhagavad Gita in Daily Life
DESCRIPTION:The Bhagavad Gita\, a foundational scripture of Yoga\, provides guidance for facing the everyday challenges of modern life. Its message is that Self-realization is achieved through skillful living in the world\, not by retreating from it. We will draw from the Gita practical lessons of how our current challenges can be leveraged to unleash our inner strength and cultivate clarity and peace. \nWhether you’re new to the Gita or returning with fresh eyes\, this group offers a welcoming space to deepen your relationship with yogic wisdom and discover how its timeless guidance can help you live with more purpose\, peace\, and strength. \nSwami Asokananda draws from years of dedicated practice and personal experience to make this ancient scripture accessible\, relevant\, and transformational. \nMahatma Gandhi: “When doubts haunt me\, when disappointments stare me in the face\, and I see not one ray of hope on the horizon\, I turn to the Bhagavad Gita and find a verse to comfort me; and I immediately begin to smile in the midst of overwhelming sorrow. Those who meditate on the Gita will derive fresh joy and new meaning from it every day. \n** This is 4-week hybrid series (taking place both online and in-person)\, running from November 5-26. Join one session or join all! (Each week requires separate registration.)**

SUMMARY:TRE® (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises)
DESCRIPTION:TRE is a simple\, gentle\, and profound technique that facilitates the lengthening and relaxation of the psoas muscle and the release of physical and emotional tension and stress. The TRE exercises mildly tire the legs\, triggering an involuntary shaking and trembling response\, which begins in the legs and often spreads throughout the body. This natural response is the nervous system’s way of discharging long-held tension and unconscious body contraction\, caused by everyday stress and traumatic life experiences\, in order to restore the body to wholeness. \nTRE was developed by Dr. David Berceli\, a bioenergetic therapist and social worker\, who used it successfully worldwide working with soldiers\, firefighters\, police officers and survivors of war\, natural disasters and other traumatic circumstances to help alleviate the many symptoms of post-traumatic stress. TRE is taught in over 60 countries worldwide. \nReported benefits include:\n\nDecreasing anxiety\nReleasing chronic tension\nDischarging emotional and physical trauma\nIncreasing energy and flexibility\nImproving sleep and mood\nDecreasing of aches\, pains and symptoms of fibromyalgia and sciatica\n\nThis workshop is suitable for all ages and fitness levels as the exercises can be modified to accommodate anybody’s need. \nFor more information about TRE please visit TREcalifornia.com.\nIf you have any questions or concerns please contact maria@TREcalifornia.com. \nThis workshop takes place 11am–1pm Eastern (8–10am Pacific) \nThis is an online program.
